Camilleri serves as the creator for Anecdotes of Jazz in Malta, a project that combines live music with film. His work also includes researching and writing the biography of Tony Carr, a Maltese musician with a remarkable career working with distinguished, world-renowned artists. For his research on jazz in Strait Street with focus on Tony Carr, Camilleri received the RIDT Charles Gatt Award. He has also produced Strait Street to Abbey Road, a documentary about Carr’s life and career based on the same research, as well as Mar-Ritmu tac-City, a short documentary about Charles Gatt.
A sought-after drummer and percussionist, he has performed and recorded with local bands, artists, and collectives such as Brikkuni, Blue Tangerine, Sfera, Kym, Joon, and Saydon Studios. He is currently a percussion tutor at the Malta School of Music and has hosted workshops for aspiring drummers. He performs frequently both locally and abroad.
